Decorative Table Runner

This is an elegant linen table runner with a jute ribbon.

This image shows the table runner with a nature inspired centerpiece.

This image shows the end of the table runner.
This image shows a detail of the jute ribbon, which meets at an angle, on the corner of the table runner.

This is another view of the corner of the table runner.

This is an edge of the table runner.  This image, as well as several others, clearly show the reveal of the linen past the just ribbon.  It is only a fraction of an inch but it defines the style of the runner.

Hand Embroidered Pillow

This pillow showcases an original, hand-embroidered, abstract design.  I based the design  off of mathematical fractals.  The cotton fabric for the shell of the pillow is dark brown, almost black.  I hand embroidered the design on the front.  This took several hours a day for a week.
This is an image of the fractal design on the front of the pillow.  Each shape is a different color white, gold and bronze.

Here the pillow can be seen in a living room setting.  I made the pillow on the left as well.
This is a close-up view of the stitching  on the design.

This is the reverse side of the pillow, which is plain.

This is a detail of the zipper, which allows the exterior  shell to be removed and cleaned.

Fabric Gift Bags

These gift bags were requested by a friend for several wedding parties.  The first is made of a natural burlap with a cotton lining. The brown drawstring holds a pretty flower shaped charm.  The second gift bag is made of a very soft rayon with a cotton lining.  One of the pink drawstrings holds a vintage style bow and pendant.

Placemats

Sheer determination and plenty of trial and error, without these the placemats never would have been completed. The initial design has been altered, and the final result is as elegant as it is simple.

Decorative Table Linens

Recently, I discovered a beautiful handmade Uzbek silk fabric.  The impressive Ikat print is very organic in design and reminiscent of aliens or plants. I made an elegant table runner with some jute ribbon and bright thread.

Coming Soon: Placemats...
